Blue Wave swimmer Melissa Nordquist

Neely, Wendy - Thursday, February 18, 2016

Blue Wave swimmer Melissa Nordquist and her husband Paul are an active pair. Between the two of them, they swim, run, row, bike, and play in the snow. But recently, they've been spending a lot of time traveling to New York where Paul receives monthly treatment for metastatic colon cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

On Saturday 27 February at 9am, Tacoma Bike is hosting a fundraising ride to help Melissa and Paul deal with the unfortunate realities of growing medical expenses. For those who don't cycle, the local open water swimming and paddle boarding communities are coming together for a little socializing, a little time in/on the water, and a lot of support for two amazing people that make everything they touch a little better.
