Donations

Unfortunately, workout fees alone do not cover our team's operating costs.  We rely on our two major swim events - PNA Champs in the spring and the Last Splash of Summer - to raise additional revenue to help fill the gap. Team members past and present have made generous financial contributions, and we very much appreciate their support.  If you are in a position to make a tax-deductible donation of any amount to Blue Wave Aquatics, we would welcome your support!  We have two options available for your donation.

Donations to the Team
General donations to support Blue Wave Aquatics' operations can be made by logging in to your account, clicking on "Merchandise" and choosing the "BWAQ Team Donation" option. You are free to enter any amount in the donation box, and our Treasurer will send you a letter verifying your donation to the team for tax purposes.  If you would like to designate a specific use for your donation - for example, to support coach salaries or pool rental fees - please send an e-mail to Treasurer@BlueWave-Aquatics.com.  

The Julie Montiel Scholarship Fund
In July of 2017, Blue Wave Aquatics suddenly and unexpectedly lost one of our beloved team members, Julie Montiel.  Julie radiated positivity and enthusiastically chaired every hospitality committee at every meet at open water swim hosted by Blue Wave.  She was also the biggest cheerleader for "Fin Friday."  In honor of Julie's giving spirit, we named our scholarship fund after her.  Team members experiencing financial challenges can apply for a short-term scholarship which is used to cover a portion of their workout fees while they are receiving the scholarship. 

To make a tax-exempt donation to the Scholarship Fund, log into your account, select "Merchandise" and choose "Julie Montiel Scholarship Fund." You may enter any amount in the donation box, and our Treasurer will send you a letter verifying your donation to the team for tax purposes.
